Our favourite charcoal and anthracite tiles

Charcoal vibes

It's hard to beat a gorgeous charcoal or anthracite tile paired with a crisp bright white. It can add a lovely richness to interiors and is a grown up shade that works brilliantly with playful accessories and bright bursts of colour. It can also be paired with the subtle hues of other greys and whites for a chromatic colour scheme that adds drama.

We love all our graphite, charcoal, anthracite, black and dark greys so it is so hard to pick! But we've done it - here are 5 and the reasons we chose them.

Bliss Charcoal - Stone effect

For a blissful wall and floor tiles, Bliss is perfect. This beautiful example of Spanish Stone effect porcelain is done exceptionally well.

Charcoal in particular is a great example of a darker porcelain tile that works across walls and floors and marries perfectly with other colours in the Bliss collection - as shown here with Bliss Grey. The detailed design of this tile makes it a great choice for the home especially open plan areas, where the veining is subtle.

Docklands Charcoal - Cement effect

This is one of our most versatile charocal anthracite tiles. The supercool industrial design brilliantly echoes worn cement and it's in a whole host of sizes from 600 x 300 through 1510 x 750mm. It can be used on walls and floors, inside and outside. The Antislip Soft finish gives it a soft touch feel to the surface and it has a hint of white-grey to the design adding to the worn look.

Haven Anthracite - Marble effect

Haven's design takes inspiration from Breccia marble and the collection is in natural and polished finishes with the 900 x 900mm also in Antislip for outside. It's perfect if you are looking for a charcoal tile that's not too dark with some lovely movement across it. It's a kind of really modern marble.

Beat Anthracite - Cement effect

This is an anthracite tile that has an ultra realistic cement feel to it. The surface is bespattered with salts, varying shade and the appearance of flaking for a really authentic worn look. The Contour finish enhances that further with a unique texture. If you're looking for a contemporary tile, you might find this hard to beat.
