We're in Haven!
The Will's from Northamptonshire contact us for help with their extension and refurbishment. This is a fabulous space totalling around 60sqm and The Will's wanted a flow from front door to the kitchen, dining and living space as well as into the utility.
Our Consultation
The starting point for deciding on which tile was the colour scheme of white, a beautiful warm grey and accents of mustard.
"We picked 4 or 5 tiles from concretes to marbles and stones that could work in the space. We'd concluded whilst discussing options that the Will's wanted something that would create wow, whilst not being overbearing. The space benefits from amazing swathes of light because of the huge sliding doors to the rear and because the space is around 60sqm could take a large format tile." comments Jo from The TilePortfolio.
Try before you buy
As a local client we were pleased to offer our 'try before you buy' service and after narrowing down tile options to 4 or 5 the Will's borrowed some tiles over a period of a week.
This gave the opportunity to move the tiles around in the space and at different times of the day and they were really pleased with the advice on choosing a tile.

The chosen tiles were our Haven Stone in large format.
"This is a fabulous tile. With a subtle stone colour background and beautifully subtle veining it's a tile that has something about it. At the same time it creates a gorgeous backdrop that isn't overpowering - so it says look at me but in a very understated way". Comments Jo.
"It tones to great effect with the dark grey and white of the kitchen cabinetry. Then we bring in these gorgeous accents of mustard from the furniture and the whole room starts to come together".
From front door to back
The tiles flow from hallway to kitchen, into the utility and across into the kitchen dining space for continuity. All in the same 900 x 900mm size.
