What’s in the mix for top tile trends of 2026?

Open plan spaces and ground floors are set to feature tiles that warm toned and with matt and lightly textured finishes for an organic earthy feel – think soft creams and taupes, warm greys, sands, woods and putty colours. Tiles formats are large – expansive tiles with minimal grout lines create a serene, seamless look and feel.

Kitchens are featuring warm stones, sandy tones, sage greens, muted blues – all the down-to-earth tones that work with natural woods, organic materials and brushed brass. Again, larger tiles are in for floors and walls and we will be layering different tones to showcase subtle variations in colour by mixing tile textures and finishes.

Bathrooms have definitely moved well beyond the function in the past few years. We are creating spaces with a spa like feel, akin to high end hotels and wellness centres. Tactile surfaces, warm stones, woods, micro-cement tiles with light textures help create a serene and calming space.

Outside spaces continue to develop as we connect the inside and outside of our homes and develop our patios to create spaces that are rooms in themselves with outside furniture, well chosen shrubbery – think spaces in which to relax, entertain, dine and cook. We continue to bring the outside in and take the inside out seamlessly connecting home and garden in style with porcelain floor tiles.

So, let’s explore some of the collections that can make this happen!

Colour: Towards Nature

2026 will continue the trend and desire for tactile, warm, personal spaces that feature natural textures, rich earthy tones and a grounded look and feel. This is all about tonal tiles in down-to-earth shades with soft, matt finishes – and we have some gorgeous options to choose from.

Spark Stone Look Porcelain Tiles exude a calm, earthy feel that taps right into the current interior trends. These beautiful 900 x 900mm large format tiles are richly designed, beautifully distinctive and part of a collection that houses rich chocolate, moss green, clay, taupe and warm white tones. The tiles feature a soft, subtle speckled design to the surface.

The addition of the smaller Space Stone Look Porcelain Tiles also available in 4 of the same shades as Spark allows you to use two different size tiles – an ideal way to zone a room, create interest or use these smaller 223 x 223mm format tiles on their own perfect for bathroom floors.

Or explore Dune, the most beautiful, subtle marble tile perfect for creating a warm sand canvas. The addition of subtle white veining makes this an exquisitely designed stone effect porcelain tile.

Or check out our aptly named Nature porcelain sandstone effect tiles in three warm, earthy hues that bring a natural, timeless sophistication to spaces. With an organic look and feel this tile collection is spot on for today’s contemporary interiors – toasty tones, large 1m x 1m formats, inside and outside tiles to connect home and garden.

Handcrafted: The Glory of the Artisanal

The movement towards the Mediterranean charm of handcrafted-style tiles continues. Our favourite artisanal collection has to be the wonderful Adore Wall Ceramic tiles. Adore comes in variety of charming colours, from vintage Bottle Green to the subtle notes of White and Sand and refreshingly light pink tones of Candy.

The quirks and idiosyncrasies of these tiles are key to their artisanal allure and makes them a brilliant pick for walls for three key reasons. Firstly, they have a hand kneaded look with a glossy finish that captures the light beautifully, creating depth to any design. Secondly there is a lovely variation of colour, so walls are really brought to life. Thirdly they are designed with a hand finished look to the edges which gives them the charm of a less uniform look and feel.

Adore pairs up with so many of our tile collections – try Abode, Metro, Docklands or any of our wood effect porcelain tiles. Or if you want a little pattern pair up with Mode.  Perfect for bathroom walls, kitchen splashbacks or a feature wall, Adore is a winning collection with us and homeowners alike.

Tactile surfaces

As well as making strides in tile design, leading manufacturers have made incredible leaps with texture over the past few years. Tile texture can transform a tile and with a move away from highly polished finishes, it is matt textures that are becoming the go-to.

There are some really clever tile textures that elevate tile design. Take our Antislip Soft texture that features in our Nest collection. This is clever stuff – a surface texture that has a pretty high slip rating of R11 A+B+C and is specifically designed to be easy to clean so you have a tile collection that has a beautifully textured feel that adds an incredible warmth to spaces and is highly practical. Again, Nest taps right into the current trends for large 1m x 1m formats, tactile finishes, inviting hues and tiles for both inside and outside.

Or take a look at our refined Italian tile collections Tone and Blend. Both feature rich, contemporary, earthy colour palettes with a highly refined surface finish that speaks of simplicity of design.   These exquisite Italian tile collections tap right into the latest desire for a natural, contemporary look and feel – check out Ecru, Clay, Mouse, Matchstick, Twine – just a few of the shades available. The Blend collection in particular sports larger 1200 x 1200mm formats in a number of colourways for both inside and outside the home.

Large Formats

Tile sizes have steadily increased over the past few years, with formats that were once the preserve of the interior designer making their way into our homes. 1m x 1m and 1200 x 1200mm format, in particular, are fast becoming the favourites, particularly for floors. These tile sizes tap right into the trend for simplicity with rectified ie straight tile edges and minimal grout lines – and with co-ordinating grout it is easy to create a near seamless look and feel to your floors.

Check out our Blend collection for some amazing 1200 x 1200mm format tiles, Speckle Beige in a stunning 1m x 1m format or Toast in 1200 x 1200mm sizes.

Or opt for a superbly practical 800 x 800 or 900 x 900mm format. These tiles sizes are large enough to feel large format and highly practical from an install perspective.

Bring Nature In Doors: Woods

You can’t beat the effortless warmth of wood. Except you can with wood effect porcelain tiles. They bring all the magic of real wood with all the brilliant practicality and performance of porcelain. High quality wood effect porcelain tiles mimic the grooves, knots and texture of wood to expert levels, so much so, they really can look like the real thing. The advantages of porcelain tiles are well known – hardwearing, scratch and stain resistant, fade and frost resistant and of course unlike timber, porcelain tiles won’t warp or bend in humid conditions making them perfect for busy bathrooms.

The top tile trends for 2026 see woods taking a turn towards honey, treacle and walnut tones. Check out our Serenity collection of wood effect porcelain tiles or Knot – perfect for helping you achieve the coziness summed up by the Danes in the word Hygge.

Or check out  our Oakwood Ceramic Wall Tiles in Honey & Pecan – with a mesmerising textural quality they can truly transform your bathroom into a spa.

Inside-outside living

It’s more than a trend. Inside outside living is here to stay, as more of us than ever before connect our lounge and lawn in style. With outside spaces fast becoming an extension of our inside space, flooring is one of the key ways to seamlessly transition from in to out – and porcelain tiles are one of the few materials that allow you to achieve this.

We have a whole host of inside outside porcelain tile collections that embrace the indoor-outdoor living look and feel. With 9mm thick matt tiles in natural and soft finishes for inside, and in a gamut of sizes including larger formats, our inside porcelain collections tap right into all the latest trends. Add a co-ordinating 2cm thick tile for outside spaces and you can create a flow across home and garden. Again, many of our outside tiles are in larger formats too.

Check out Blend with 1200 x 1200mm formats for both inside and out in 5 gorgeous tones.

Or Nest and Nature in 1m x 1m with both inside and outside tile options.
